Overview
Why design is important to your business
Studies show that companies that consistently invest in design can outperform competitors in the marketplace. The Ignite Series will provide the tools your business needs to gain an edge on the competition.
The evening's session will start at 5:30 p.m. and will include time for a short break. Food and refreshments will be provided by sponsor TasteFresno.
Part One: What is design and why does it matter?
(40 mins)
Layne Lev from Hundred10 Design leads the first session with an explanation of what effective design is, what it does for your business, and how it positively impacts your bottom line. His expertise as a successful designer and business owner will offer insights into the best practices of design processes within your business, how to find the right designer for your project and how to assess your company's current investment in design.
Part Two: How successful businesses use design to beat their competition
(25 mins)
Nick Gundry leads our next session to demonstrate how businesses use design as a strategy to improve their bottom line. We will look at case studies of how businesses have employed design strategies to improve sales and brand recognition.
An in depth look at local company Plastic Jungle will be featured as part of this session. Nick will also introduce ideas on how to track the return on investment of design in your company.
Part Three: Panel Discussion
(30 mins)
To wrap up the evening we'll be providing a short Q & A session with the speakers and members of the business community.
